Mom: Apparently I don't have any video editing software on this little computer, so here is his first verbal report, in three parts. He worked on this a little while walking to Tortuga Bay and then for about an hour on location. Part three was done on the second take because of all the sneezing.
Part 1:
Hi Christopher!
ReplyDeleteGreat report! We loved seeing you snorkeling and Aiden especially loved hearing about the iguanas. He would like to know if they have any teeth and if they have eggs or live offspring. Thanks so much!! We love you and read every blog entry you have- they're great!! Miss you and love you! Auntie Dena
Hi Chris! Uncle Kevin here, I would like to know if the iguanas have evolved differently among the different galapagos islands? If so, what are the differences?
ReplyDeleteThanks for responding.
ReplyDeleteThere are four types of iguanas on the Galapagos Islands. Three species of land iguanas, one species of marine iguanas. There might only be one species of marine iguanas because they can swim to each island and reproduce on each island. There might be three species of land iguanas because they can't swim to each island so they have developed independently.
The marine iguanas are reptiles so they have eggs, but we are not sure if they have teeth. Christopher
The iguanas look so tame. Is that because they have no predators? Were you able to pet them?
ReplyDeleteLove the reports!
Christopher: These are iguanas are so tame because they don't fear people. Herons cause them to run away. We do not pet any of the animals. It is illegal.
ReplyDeleteHi Jana! Tell Clark this is a regular part of WHF in Track Jam!! We love it! S. Klopcic
ReplyDeleteNice report Christopher! Liam says you did better then he does when he gives speeches. He was very impressed. It was cool to see the iguanas sneezing. We read the blog every day and really enjoy the pictures your mom is posting on FB. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
