Today, we went to a Charles Pinckney Historical Site. Charles Pinckney signed the Declaration of Independence. For the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, he was one of the delegates for South Carolina. In the new Constitution, at least ten of the laws were his idea. For example, having a single person as the head of the government. Charles Pinckney also supported Thomas Jefferson as president, rather than John Adams and his cousin Charles Cotesworth Pinckney! Charles Pinckney helped make a great Constitution.
